To pleasure, to be pleasured or both? THAT is the question.
Why? That doesn't matter.
The saying is: "It's better to give than to receive"; but is it, really, and what actually are they talking about? Because it's better to give notice to someone than to receive it but also it's better to get paid, rather than paying someone else.
The basic thing, I guess, is what you really want... out of life? I mean, don't you care if you receive pleasure, in all senses? YOU DO! Now, that's the problem. Everyone says that giving is part of our life, part of the society we live in but who gives and to whom? Every person that has a high position, somewhere, anywhere, prefers to make fortune than to give others what they deserve and what's even worse is that every time they are asked about that amount, they say: that money doesn't exist, we don't have it. Well, actually, you do but you just prefer to keep it for yourselves.
But anyway, not everything in life is connected to money (as some think). There are millions if not billions of reasons to live and ultimately be happy.
You see, happiness is a state of mind. You make yourself happy but also others can make that feeling appear for you. Some know it, some don't and others don't even care. Important is what you get, now or later. You do a favor for someone and, anyway you put it, you still want something back, even if the reason is... pure, simple, personal happiness because you gave someone a hand when they needed it. We want good things because we deserve them. Some more than others but still, we need it. That is how people change. To be a good person you need to see the good in others and into yourself.
So, to pleasure, to be pleasured.... or both?
